08:04 AM ET 01.11 | Not only did Tennessee lose its star quarterback in Tyler Bray, but it will also have to make due without players who accounted for 198 receptions in 2012. Coming to coach at the school once known as Wide Receiver U. clearly appealed to Zach Azzanni. Tennessee's status at the moment is more like Wide Receiver Who? "It's pretty depleted," Azzanni said Thursday. "There's some young guys that are hungry. We don't have enough of 'em. That's why we're on the road right now grinding, recruiting." Azzanni is both receivers coach and recruiting coordinator on Butch Jones' new UT staff. He and defensive line coach Steve Stripling were late arrivals due to bowl commitments with their previous teams. Both met with the media Thursday.

Sounds like an opportune time to install the Delaware Wing T if you ask me.

Early for you, ICE? BTW, you made me choke on my coffee (3rd cup) with that one.

UTK could be WRU again. Go out and get 'em, Zach.

A part of me is happy that the Braying One has declared for the draft. The Vols new coaching staff can begin with a new guy taking the snaps. As for the receiving corp, we'll see how they mesh with the new slinger. Expectations are nonexistent. Pleasant surprises welcome.

Who's gonna run the ball next year?

We'll see. Graham actually got some production out of the RBs last year. Evaluation in the Spring. Pray that the O-line builds on what's been accomplished. For Vols fans, questions are an improvement on the sense of foreboding which has lingered these past five years.

Lot goin on at work, when that happens, I don't sleep much. That being said, I have a fondness for the formation. Would love to see a D1 team run it. Looks like a clean slate for your new staff. Should be enticing to some good recruits dontcha think???

That's what I was thinking. Opportunity for immediate playing time.

One of the positions a HS kid can come in an play immediately...and JC kid could be the go to receiver. Attractive for kids that want immediate playing time and not have to compete a whole lot to get it.

Give em a couple of years and they will be in the top of the east side again, where they belong.

Does UF, UGa and USCe know this?

Yes. Jones has some good recruiters on staff. Stuff the roster with hungry guys, let 'em compete for playing time, and build the program.

Tyler Bray deciding to take his clipboard holding talents to the NFL was a little bit of a surprise to me.

James Franklin is killin' you guys. Who's gonna run the ball next year?

Franklin is awesome...what a breath of fresh air for Vandy....going to be interesting next year...Mathews staying for senior season is a big plus...going to take UTK a couple of years to build a competive foundation.....

Eggsactly what I was thinking. Top tier program, with spots open right away??? Hope you guys can make a move in the next couple of years.

Not a surprise for anyone following the program really. I would have been surprised if he wanted to stay for his senior year and learn a new system.

But Jones wants a mobile quarterback so it may work out for both parties.

Jones appears to be a good coach. While this is a good opportunity for young, hungry receivers, it will cause some growing pains for the offense. Give Jones some time, at it will work itself out.

Hopefully this is the start of some stability. The constant turnover is very annoying.

They will. Invitation to the UTk 2016 SEC championship (and by default national championship) is in the mail.

UF's attitude is Boom! End their win streak and they'll pay attention.

UGA's Bulldog Nation doesn't care to look north of the boarder. They only notice UTK or Vandy the week before they play them.

Steve Orr has held a grudge against Tennessee since he wasn't offered a scholly his senior year in HS. Even if and when UTK may defeat SCAR, the OVT won't acknowledge anything more than his bitterness.

Capiche?
