08:05 AM ET 01.11 | At a time when budgets are tight, good news is coming to Kentucky. Gov. Steve Beshear and a large, bipartisan group of lawmakers said Thursday that they will pass legislation this year allowing the state's universities to spend more than $363 million on nearly a dozen building projects -- including a $110 million renovation of the University of Kentucky's Commonwealth Stadium. None of the money would come from the state's general funds, and the projects would be paid for largely through contributions, existing student fees and other revenue sources. No new fees will be collected to pay for them, Beshear said. "That's music to all our ears," said Beshear.

Happy for KY CFB fans, but I am cautious when reading, "the projects would be paid for largely through contributions, existing student fees and other revenue sources." When might we read, "Student fees jump 300% at UK?"

Those two need the upgrades, of course, if it jumps 300% even they will not be there.

New coach will have them winning in no time at all, just wait and see, and then you can for sure be shaking in your boots if you have to play us. Yeah!!!

Next line says no new fees will be collected. I would read that as no increase???

Maybe they should put that money toward education considering the general state of education in Kentucky

I must say, isn't there enough room in there already for the 20 or so in attendance?

It's amusing to see someone complain about education by using a run-on sentence, with no punctuation.

Glass houses, Mr. Blue Suit...
