Jacare's trainer says he's headed to the UFC

04:53 PM ET 01.11 | Josuel Distak, trainer to Strikeforce middleweight Ronaldo 'Jacare' Souza, explained to the media that his pupil recently signing a five-fight deal with the UFC and therefore was undeniably headed to the UFC. "'Jacare' is now a UFC fighter and signed a five-fight contract," he said. Before he heads to the Octagon, however, Jacare faces Ed Herman Saturday at Strikeforce. According to Distak, the result of that fight will determine who Jacare faces in his UFC debut. "The result of the fight against Herman will be the basis for choice of his debut opponent in the UFC, which I think will be in April."
