Family of slain victims still not ready to forgive Ray Lewis

08:40 PM ET 01.11 | Ray Lewis could be playing in his final NFL game this Sunday when his Baltimore Ravens travel to Denver to battle Peyton Manning's top-seeded Broncos. But while there has been a lot of outpour in terms of tributes and farewells to Lewis, some are still very edgy about giving a man once accused of murder props for being a good guy. Lewis bargained a plea deal that murder charges against him would be dropped if he testified against two other men that were involved in the incident. Lewis did admit to giving a "misleading" report to police following the incident, and he therefore pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of justice. The two men Lewis testified against were acquitted in June of the same year. The families of the victims are still numb from the murders. Despite his image rehabilitation, some family members still believe that Lewis got away with murder.

Where does it say they have any animosity towards the other 2 men involved?

Where does it say that they don't?
You are reading things into the story that just aren't there!

Jeez Joe it says that they are mad at Ray not at everyone involved. You know I'm not saying he's innocent, just that fame has it's price

Obstruction of justice....that means "I know what happened, but I'm not saying". Generally, obstruction charges are laid when it is discovered that a person questioned in an investigation, OTHER THAN A SUSPECT, has lied to the investigating officers. It doesn't mean he murdered someone. The other two guys might be the ones with knives. We don't know, but how does that equate to Ray Lewis getting away with murder? If you don't like the guy, no problem, but dislike him for facts, not fantasy.

Interesting observation. It would make sense to me that they are mad at everyone involved, with a focus on Ray Lewis as the most famous member of the limo riders that night and the many questions surrounding the horrible situation. Certainly this 'sports themed' article focuses on him.
Question: the full article says he's never met with the families, offered them money or apologized. I'm sure I've read articles in the past saying undisclosed financial settlements were reached with both families. I suppose this doesn't have to be the same as offering money, and that lawyers could handle everything. Can't remember if anything I've seen or heard could be construed as an apology. What do others remember?

We all know money talks in this country's justice system. I'm sure he paid good money to his lawyer. He then played longer than he should have to re-claim some of that money. Now he's quitting. Let him go.
