09:48 AM ET 01.12 | UCLA football coach Jim Mora has agreed to a one-year contract extension through the 2017 season, the university announced Friday, ending speculation Mora would leave for another job. Mora, hired before last season, originally signed a five-year, $12 million deal. Terms of the additional year were not released, but the extension sends a clear message that Mora is committed to rebuilding the UCLA football program despite reports that he was being sought by other schools and NFL teams. According to multiple reports, the San Diego Chargers recently inquired about Mora as a possible replacement for their vacant head coaching position.

I wonder if the interest Brian Kelly is showing in the Eagles is the same motivation.

My guess is that he is following the Charlie Weiss method of getting a pay raise.

Hasn't worked so far....perhaps ND is basically saying "if you don't want to coach here, we don't want you to coach here"...

At least the Chargers did one thing positive.

LMAO a one year extension is some HUGE commitment from either side? Why bother?

Dang, fellahs. I've already posted my suspicion that Kelly is caught up judging the cheese steaks in the great sammie war on the south side of Philly. Compared to that, your speculations about money and contract terms seem downright silly.
