Could RCR bring Dodge back to NASCAR?

11:11 AM ET 01.12 | What's it going to take to get Dodge Motorsports interested in NASCAR again? How about an organization such as Richard Childress Racing? One of the reasons cited for Dodge's departure from NASCAR at the end of the 2012 season was the inability to secure an organization equal to Penske Racing's stature. Although Dodge representatives flirted with Furniture Row Racing, Richard Petty Motorsports and Andretti Racing, nothing materialized from the meetings. However, what if Dodge could secure an organization that boasts six Cup titles, three Nationwide Series championships and two Truck titles? "I haven't talk to anybody," team owner Richard Childress said on Friday. "No one has approached me yet." Still, the rumor persists.

I hope you're right Wild fan. I would like to see Dodges out on the track if only because I would know that there is someone out there getting worse gas mileage than me and my Ram 2500.

did anyone watch the daytona winter testing at the end of last week? they were talking about a few teams that were datalogging with "phones" in their cars during last season.. apparently one team stole another teams data even, but they never did mention names..

Hey Richard, you need to rethink this thing. There's a reason why no one wants to be in a Dodge. Stick with the bowtie.

Gibbs is with Toyota. Rousch's middle name should be Ford as he's all in with them. Petty switches makes about 6 years or so, so he might be a choice for them even though he dumped them as well. The only way i see Dodge coming back is with a multi car team with deep pockets. More than likely with a new team like they got back into it with Ray Evernham.

I think RCR is going to be tight lipped about this, I heard that they are offering RCR control of everything and an open checkbook. Heard this on the Bristol racing network radio show. Could be interesting especially since Childress owns a couple Chevrolet dealerships.
