Rangers discussing extension with Matt Harrison

11:32 AM ET 01.12 | Matt Harrison was at Rangers Fan Fest Friday to pick up his pitcher of the year award. The left-hander, who is coming off an All-Star season, may have time Saturday to talk about a new contract. Harrison, who is arbiration eligible and will become a free agent following the 2014 season, is hopeful something can get done. "We're definitely still talking," said Harrison. "We'll see where that goes. We haven't got anything finished yet. I'm excited about what's happening and the opportunity to spend some time here. I definitely will have some time to think about that tomorrow."

things could go either way,,sometimes the rangers are too greedy to actually compesate their tough players in their franchise,,,,

if rangers still using the same type of approach towards their free agents,,,if the agent still is MR BORAS GREEDY MONEY GUY,, to even sign a single top player in the rangers team, could become a bit rusty nevertheless!!

rangers could offer a 5 years 50 millions contract to harrinson , or should they offer him 25 millions 5 years deal???
