Cosmo drops Henrik Lundqvist from 'hottest' player list

10:09 AM ET 01.13 | The battle over the NHL lockout may be over, but one online editor at Cosmopolitan took blows over her ranking of the hottest players. Cosmo's Korin Miller omitted dapper New York Ranger All-Star goaltender Henrik Lundqvist from her list of hottest players in the league, instead naming teammate Brian Boyle to her roster. Miller then felt the wrath of not only fans but hockey-beat reporters expressing outrage that the Swedish hunk was robbed. "Anyone that ranks hockey's studliest studs and omits Henrik Lundqvist forfeits all authority on the matter," wrote Yahoo! Sports reporter Harrison Mooney. Miller explained Cosmo solicited readers to nominate their favorite players, and the magazine named one player from each team to the list. Boyle simply racked up more votes than Lundqvist.
