07:59 AM ET 01.14 | Peyton Manning, of course, wishes the offseason hadn't already arrived for him, but, to some degree, he's already looking ahead. [Manning] was buoyed by how the single-digit temperatures that fell upon Sports Authority Field at Mile High enabled him to get a jump on his preparation for the next time he faces such "That was another good hurdle for me," Manning said in an interview with The Denver Post. "Weather-wise, we had not had anything like that all season. There was some unknown going into that game. You can't simulate it. I tried everything from putting my hand in a freezing tank. But you just can't simulate it. Next year, the Super Bowl's in New York. So that was a good hurdle for me to be effective in those type of conditions."

Denver safety made sure he was one and done on this game...31 seconds to go.....did he think it was going to be a running play??? what a fiasco....

Face it, Peyton. You're a dome-team kind of guy.
And, look at the stats of how many dome teams get to the Superbowl. It's not encouraging, is it?

How many times have we seen that face (like he just tasted sour milk) after he threw a late pick in a big game? He is what he is.

If you really want to prepare to play in that stadium, Peyton, ask to be traded to the Jets.

Not a Denver fan...but here is there off season checklist:
--Wide Receivers
--Give Payton the option to call plays (like his Indy days...he was given 2 passes and a run)
--Some real defensive lineman (Ravens had all day)
--Replace Champ Bailey

What an optimist. One thing is for sure, when Peyton retires from football he can get a job as a spin doctor for any politician in the country. And not one bad word about his defense or the play calling.

I don't know about it being cold in NY.... With the weather patterns we're having now, you can call the weather there, "tropical".

Well he was dominant in the AFC South when there was no competition, now that Houston has stepped up he took off for the AFC West were he can fade into his retirement without much threat of any of the teams challenging the Broncos and he can go to the playoffs and like you say be one and done. At least Tebow got one playoff win last year while in Denver, Manning is 0-1 in the playoffs in Denver. I guess Elway looks on that as a good investment?

Yeah. Spring skiing in Maine yesterday. It was 51 degrees coming into work (pre-dawn) this morning outside of Boston. WTF?
Next week, though, the weather won't be quite so balmy for the AFC championship down the road.

I'm shocked at how small that Denver defense played. The pass rush was almost nonexistent. And giving up that TD with 31 seconds left, wow. What were those DBs thinking. The corner let the receiver run right past him, and the safety jumps a crossing route? Really? Just sad.
