08:08 AM ET 01.14 | In consecutive offseasons, Miami has made significant headlines -- a year ago for what it added, including manager Ozzie Guillen, and this past offseason for what it subtracted, which included the trades of big names to the Toronto Blue Jays -- and yet there will be fewer comments coming from the front office in the near term. Besides forbidding president David Samson from doing his radio show, Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria also told Samson that he can no longer do interviews. That's short-sighted, because Samson made himself more accountable and accessible than many team presidents, even amid unpopular decisions made solely by Loria. Loria, by the way, has refused to speak to the media since mid-November.

Devil's argument: Let's start with a few facts:

1) The Marlin's finished in Last Place in 2012.
2) He is the Owner.

Questions:
1) Should he hold the people who failed accountable?
2) Are they really better off having young propects or 2nd half of their career veterans who are overpaid?

I think it is much easier to make an argument that last years spending was the mistake not this years trades.

Wiseup: Loria remainig silent for entire year will only last until season starts,when he will sart pulling the strings on his manager marionette. The manager will then be blamed for the marlins losing season. Loria ban on On David Samsons Radio show and from doing interviews. If Samson did interviews a press agent might ask some questions who answer might further indacate how inept Loria is. If samson does no interviews. it still wont hide that fact.
