Eddie Lacy's replacement

I have this gut wrenching feeling that Albama won't miss a beat with him gone.

I don't think Bama fans are losing much sleep over this. The cupboard is well stocked.

We recruit as if we expect the RB to leave early. That is the reality of college football right now. If you have a decent RB, it is almost crazy for the RB to stay for his senior year, if he has a very good junior year. Their careers are shorter in the NFL and their stock does not go much higher. Eddie Lacy was faced with exactly that prospect. Although this year, he was plagued by injuries, he finished the year healthy and with big games. No one believes he will up his stock if he came back, unless we changed the way we handle RBs and gave him the carries to get him about 1700 yards.

Who we have coming back or coming in:

Yeldon
Jalston Fowler
Dee Hart
Kenyan Drake (Not many have heard of him, but will be a good back for us before it is over)
Derrick Henry
Altee Tenpenny (may flip to Arkansas, but as of right now still Alabama commit)
Tyrne Jones (another under the radar recruit, but built a lot like Mark Ingram - might even be a little better talent wise than Ingram was as a recruit).

Did anyone see Julio Jones' INT to preserve the win for Atlanta. He sky-ed for that INT.

I think Fowler is going to have a better NFL than college career if he stays healthy. He'll be along the lines of Peyton Hillis from Arky. Hillis and Fowler got stuck behind the wrong guys in college.
