08:15 AM ET 01.14 | Laquon Treadwell is no stranger to attention, and the 6-foot-3, 198-pound prospect is sure to gain more of it later this week. Since becoming the nation's top wide receiver for the Class of 2013, Treadwell has been the target of social-media pleas by fans desperate for him to attend their university. ... [Treadwell's] finalists are Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. "Right now I'm leaning to where I want to go," Treadwell said, declining to offer further insight. " ... I know the two that it's between." Treadwell, a five-star recruiting by Rivals.com and Scout.com, took an official visit to OSU this weekend -- his final visit before deciding on his destination -- and he said the highlight has been building a better relationship with coach Mike Gundy.

There will also be heartbreak for Meechigan when UTk signs Derrick Green.

Amen, brother.

And while you're eradicating stoopid stuff from the planet, get rid of Facebook status updates. Do I care that you're enjoying a grande skinny latte at Starbux right this very minute? No.

The Ole Mess bagmen are aiming high this year. RN and now Treadwell, the bagmen must have saved up a lot from the kids lost over the last couple of years.

We live in a narcissistic society. Celebrity status is more valued than actual accomplishment, therefore, the goal is to have everyone look at "me". If enough people are looking, it confirms "my" celebrity status.
I can at least write this with a clear conscience since I do not have a facebook page or twitter account. Except for my phone provided by work, I don't even have a cell phone.

Dangit! Sorry, my bad.

Did you get the whole wheat coffee cake with Splenda-based icing, too? I hear it's to die for.

you can also now put them on an acquaintence list so you won't see their posts as much or simply hide their posts completely.

Twitter AND Facebook. Some of the absolute crap that goes on on those websites. Grown men, of grandparent's ages, pleading for 16-18 years old to go to their university.

THAT'S what is creepy. Not Musberger commenting on how good looking a Miss America pageant contestant is.

I rarely go to FB, mainly to check on family pics being shared around (beats emailing them) so I just turn their status updates off. But it just is sooo ridiculous to feel the need to send out a message 17 times a day about what you are doing "right then and there". DS pretty much has it nailed.

Nah, we'll be back in the saddle next season. Mullen let a lot of upperclassmen get away with slacking on the job because of the perceived lack of competition behind them.

Mushmouth slobbering over a gal that could be his grand-daughter is still pretty creepy in my book. The guy should've reined it in at least SOME, hellzbellz he's on national TV for crying out loud.
