06:15 PM ET 01.14 | The NBA briefed members of the league's relocation committee on the details of the impending sale of the Sacramento Kings to a Seattle-based ownership group last week, making it increasingly unlikely that the franchise stays in its current location. Despite recent efforts by prospective local buyers to keep the team in Sacramento, it appears likely that the Maloof family will sell the team to the group headed by Chris Hansen and Steve Ballmer. The deal, reportedly worth $525 million, will bring the re-branded Seattle Sonics back into the fold for the 2013-14 season.
