06:19 PM ET 01.14 | Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul will miss Monday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies with a contusion in his right knee cap, pushing back-up Eric Bledsoe into the starter's role. With L.A. looking at back-to-back games, Paul will likely miss a match-up against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night, as well, though his absence likely won't stretch beyond that. The injury gives Bledsoe a chance to show what he can do with major minutes after being publicly praised by his mentor recently. Paul told reporters that his back-up deserves to be a starter in the NBA soon, high praise from arguably the league's best at his respective position.
