08:01 AM ET 01.15 | Nearly 20 years after first working together, Andy Pettitte and Joe Torre appear headed toward a reunion at the upcoming World Baseball Classic. The official roster announcements won't come until Thursday. "Andy told us it's something he's thinking about doing, but that's all I know," Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said [Monday]. ... The GM said he would expect Pettitte to be treated like any other player. "If Joe Torre signed up to be the manager and if Andy Pettitte signs up to play, they are going all-in to win," Cashman said. "Joe's not managing that team for a hobby, he's managing it to win, and he's certainly not going to sign onto something unless he feels he can win, so they're all-in."

either they are all in or all out, but something has to be done for sure,,, does pujols expect to compete with the WBC in order to get himself in form?? or he doesn't care if he its unable to hit a homerun until the first day of may???

January 15, 2013  11:14 AM ET

Totally don't care about the WBC and never plan on watching a single game.

January 15, 2013  11:49 AM ET

the angels may have to send a complain towards the WBC just in case the pujols avg doesn't sets in the right direction,,,,

Does anyone really care about this WBC? If I was a team owner, GM or manager, I would be afraid to let my guys play in it...especially my pitchers.
