08:06 AM ET 01.15 | Alex Collins is a very popular young man these days. [Collins], the 5-11, 204-pound all-purpose running back who is the nation's No. 1 running back prospect, had a visit with new Texas running backs coach Larry Porter over the weekend. Collins, from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., told 247Sports that the visit went well. "I am interested in Texas highly, just like every other school," Collins said. ... "[Porter] talked to me about coming for an official, but nothing was set up. I have to talk to my mom." Those close to the recruitment of Collins still expect Miami to be his college choice, but there is certainly reason for concern on the Hurricanes' end. Collins already has visited Wisconsin, Florida State and Florida. He's still scheduled to visit Miami and Arkansas.

Son, if you go to Tennessee, you'll get the brick until you check out for the next stage of your life. Those other schools with which you've dallied? You'll have to compete for the job, not just against talent, but against system and intrasquad politics. They'll be none of that at UTK. They're building an O-line dynasty, a WR finishing school, and a balanced attack, with elite RBs getting the carries. Wanna play? Go Big Orange.

I think this is what depresses me most about the end of the season, for the next few months, all we will read about is what kid is committing and then uncommitting to what school and then wait until NSD when 18 year old kids hold pressers so America can watch him put on a ball cap...
