08:08 AM ET 01.15 | What a difference a few months makes. John Tortorella said Monday that postseason darling Chris Kreider "is still fighting for a spot" on the Rangers roster. It appears coach and player are on the same page. Minutes earlier, Kreider, 21, had fended off the suggestion he may feel comfortable as a pro compared to last spring's hectic debut: He won the NCAA title with Boston College, signed with the Rangers on April 10, then set an NHL record for most playoff goals (five) and points (seven) by a player who never played in a regular-season game. "I don't feel settled," Kreider told the Daily News on the second day of training camp in Greenburgh. "I'm not proven, but I feel like I'm pushing myself. I'm not settled. I like that, though."

In fairness its fannation that needs to have the editor sent back as the Daily news didn't even mention "progedy".

And as for the article. I don't think the AHL is doing this guy any good. His stats say he might be ready for the ECHL.

Is the progedy a prestidigitator?

I don't see the word 'progedy' used in the original article, though.

Wow. Sometimes there are just no sufficient punchlines....

January 15, 2013  09:52 AM ET

So he was good enough to take up a roster spot in the playoffs, but not good enough to learn the game as a regular on the roster?

Definition of "progedy"

A prospect that turns out to be a tragedy.

For example, Kadri, Schenn, Jeff Ware, ah heck, any former fist round picks by the Leafs.
