Lee not worried about all-star berth

05:42 PM ET 01.15 | David Lee wants to break a streak. He wants to do it the right way, too. The Golden State Warriors forward is looking for his second All-Star appearance this season, and such a bid would mark the first time since 1997 that the franchise has sent a player to the game. It so happens that Mark Jackson, one of Lee's harshest critics when he first made it with the New York Knicks, is now Lee's head coach. Then, Lee made it as Allen Iverson's replacement despite playing for a bad ballclub. Now, with the Warriors making noise in the Western Conference, Lee thinks he's earned a chance to represent Golden State. "I think that's the biggest mark of an All-Star is guys that can make their teams better and try to win," Lee told the Associated Press. "They didn't sign me here to put up numbers or to have fancy dunks. They signed me to win ballgames."

I just learned last week that David Lee beat James "Flight" White in a dunk contest. It blew my mind; though White seemed to lose, ironically, because he wasn't white.

Steph is playing great but this so completely not true! There isn't one PF playing better than Lee this year and nobody can use the "crappy team" thing any more!

Zach Randolph, Rudy Gay, Al Jefferson....all these guys are worthy...including Lee.

Gay is a SF

QUOTE(#3):

Too many good PF in the West. You have Tim Duncan, Serge Ibaka, Dirk Nowitzki and so on.

Yeah.....but NONE of those guys are averaging 20 points AND 11 rebounds per game.

Lee is also shooting 53% from the field and 80% from the FT line.
.
He should be on the team but he won't.
.
Why?
.
Because to many people are hung on on names than they are on results!

Yeah......I'd have to agree with you on that!
.
He's the only player in the league averaging double figures in rebounds AND scoring 20 points per game.
