07:51 AM ET 01.16 | The third time will wind up as no charm for Aaron Rodgers and the Pro Bowl. [The Green Bay] Packers and NFC starting quarterback said on his weekly radio show on 540 ESPN and ESPNWisconsin.com that he has injuries to "multiple lower extremities" that will keep him out of the game. "I didn't pass my physical," Rodgers announced. He wouldn't delve into specifics of the injuries but did say that his ankle, which he injured against Chicago on Dec. 16, "has definitely been a problem." ... "I did get banged up in the game," Rodgers said of Saturday night's NFC Divisional Playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers. "I've been on the injury report at various times during the season with my ankle (that) was hurting me."

I wouldn't play either!

It's not like he can't afford a trip to the islands whenever he wants.

January 16, 2013  08:01 AM ET

With "multiple" lower extremities... I hope it's just his ankle.

January 16, 2013  08:02 AM ET

Joe Webb will be his replacement.

Bro..... Kaepernick ran for 178 yards WITHOUT CONTACT last week.... Imagine how a healthy RGIII would have carved up the playoffs yo.... It's crazy.

the probowl hasnt been worth watchn for a decade or so

Bill Belichick always lists Tom Brady as "questionable" on the weekly injury report. That gives Brady an excuse to just say no to the Pro Bowl every year, in the unlikely event that he isn't still involved with the playoffs.

Shanny listed Brandon Banks as probably after he was stabbed at a nightclub.

*probable

I don't think there was a QB who took more hits and sacks during the season than Rodgers.

Sanchez.

Sanchez.

If you include his own offensive linemen.

Maybe so many guys will excuse themselves from the Pro Bowl that Sanchez will go.

Running the Buttfumble play a few times would make the game more entertaining.

The real question here is, if the Pack was playing Sunday do you think Rodgers would be out, or maybe he doesn't like the Pro Bowl, or he is just a SORE loser.

No. Yes and yes.

hopefully after this year of injuries for him, concussions and the knee, he will get a little smarter. A huge difference between Kaepernick and RGIII is that I saw Kaepernick run out of bounds or slide, multiple times to avoid contact - while RGIII just refuses to avoid it. Someone in the Redskins staff needs to make RGIII sit and watch hours and hours of Vick getting rocked by linebackers and safeties....

Pack better hope he gets well. No Rodgers, no chance at the playoffs. Of course, if they don't make the playoffs they won't be humiliated on national TV so there's an upside to this.

The R will be fine.
