Boras on Soriano: 'Talent has no wristwatch'

And Boras has no shortage of banal witicisms. Talent has no wristwatch? Sheesh.

Do the Nats trade Storen? Clippard? since they now have Soriano? Or does Davey like using all three as a possible closer?

Keep in mind that $14 of the $28 mil is deferred over a period of about 10 years. Soriano gets $7 mill in 2013 and 2014. $14 mil is paid between 2015 and, I think 2025.

Not quite the haul that Soriano and Boras expected. He could have earned $14.8 mil in 2013 (actually the $13.3 mil qualifying offer the Yanks made plus the $1.5 million buyout of his old contract) and then gone out on the free agent market after the 2013 season.

OK, but after watching him these last two years in NY I know this much. He is no sure bet when he goes out there. Not a lot of swing and miss to him.

He was hard to watch in my opinion. He pitched like he didn't want to throw the next pitch. He'd circle the mound, fidget, grab the rosin bag, walk around some more, get ready to pitch.....it was a true relief when he finished the inning.

i think he pulls a jim haurbaugh and go with whoever is the "hot hand". if clippard is pitching well, he pitches.

the nationals got tougher in their bullpen, no question about that, clippard at the 7 inning,storen at the 8 inning, and soriano get the closer job as he always has been dreaming about,,

There aren't any guarantee's that Strasburg's issues will be fixed... long shot...
