09:25 PM ET 01.16 | The NHL's oldest active player is finally going to call it a career. After debuting in the NHL back in 1994-95 with the Los Angeles Kings, Sean O'Donnell has decided it's time to hang up the skates. O'Donnell was drafted by the Buffalo Sabers back in 1991, but spent time in the AHL and IHL before being traded to the Kings. O'Donnell was actually set to make his NHL debut with Buffalo during the 1992-93 season when Gord Donnelly was handed a suspension by the NHL. However, his debut would have to wait until he was traded to Los Angeles, as O'Donnell couldn't catch a flight that got him to the Sabers in time to start. However, once he debuted in 1994-95, O'Donnell went on to play with nine teams in 1,200 games, including two trips to the Stanley Cup Finals. O'Donnell was with the New Jersey Devils in 2001 when they lost the Cup to Colorado, but he avenged that loss when he hoisted the Cup in 2007 with the Anaheim Ducks.

With all due respect to Sean O'Donnell, the Buffalo "Sabers?" Once might be a typo, but twice?
