Fox to name McCoy's replacement by the weekend

When Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning stepped toward the line of scrimmage this season, he often shouted "hurry, hurry" to get things moving. And Broncos coach John Fox plans to do the same when it comes to filling the team's offensive coordinator position. According to multiple NFL sources contacted Wednesday night, Fox plans to hire Mike McCoy's replacement before the weekend. ... Fox has to be on site in Hawaii on Sunday and is trying to wrap things up before his departure. He didn't have to go far to talk to one of the leading candidates, Broncos quarterbacks coach Adam Gase, and has formally reached out to the other, former Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt.

Mixed in with all the other signal calls? No, I think the "hurry hurry" stuff was part of the audible, like "kill kill kill" or "Papa John, Papa John."
