Why Tebow could end up in Chicago

08:03 AM ET 01.17 | In the eyes of many, Marc Trestman has been hired by the Bears to bring out the best in their quarterbacks. Could Tim Tebow end up in Chicago with [Trestman]? Trestman was part of the phalanx of tutors who worked with Tebow in advance of the 2010 NFL draft. ... Pressing NFL coaches about their interest in Tebow has become standard practice this offseason. Given Trestman's personal connection to Tebow, one thing is a near certainty: When Trestman meets the Chicago media, he will be asked almost immediately about his interest in Tebow, and the Bears-obsessed Chicago media (and Tebow-obsessed national media) will parse his answer down to the syllable, trying to figure out if we might see the "Te-bears."

Tebow is going to succeed in Chicago. Not playing football, but something else.

The only thing Chicago and Tebow have in common is that Marc Trestman coached in the CFL, and Canada's probably where Tim could end up playing.

But not as a QB. He's not a good enough passer to play in the CFL. Now RB or TE, maybe.....

Agreed. It seems Tim is a little too stubborn to accept that notion.

He doesn't have the hands to play TE, I say RB only and probably just a blocking back. A year from now he out of the league for good I'm afraid.

3rd and 1 and 2 shots to get in the end zone, I bet Pete Carroll would have loved to have him as an option!

Tebow wins. He's won more playoff games in Denver than a guy named Manning who was a 9 1/2 pt favorite. Run Tim Run!!

Thank You...putting all TE and RB jokes aside (because the media has turned most analyst into..."judges by concensus") the last time I checked...when Tebow did START as a QB, the coaches weren't exactly regreting the decision.
At what point in his NFL career has he been givin the starting job and allowed the opportunity to succeed or fail??? Denver??? Even that was a crappy deal and he did okay, oh and with the same "awesome" defense as this year. IMO, the coaches have sucked more than Tebow (punt blocker...c'mon) "Mr. Brady...I need you to go in on special teams and block oh, and throw 9 passes all year but be consistent...and everytime you go in, the defense is going to know your running, but good luck...go get'em tiger!"
Tebow haters...GET SOME NEW MATERIAL AND STOP SAYING IT CAUSE THE MEDIA SAID IT!!! Hey...he may not be a great NFL QB, but what do we really have to go on??? Last years turn-around to the playoffs or this years special teams play???

Yes the kid is stubborn... I have no problem with that.. What I do have a problem with is the fact he doesn't put in the work to perfect his craft.... If he does go to Chi town they should play him at TE

Tebow to Chicago seems about right...increased chance to play since Cutler is the ONLY QB in the NFL that will take himself out of a game...

Here's why he won't end up in Chicago, Trestman is pass heavy and needs an accurate qb that can stretch the field. Up in Montreal, the Alouettes had a Tebow-like back-up used mostly for goal-line plays and short yardage situations. Trestman's game plan and MacPhearson's skill sets never jived, the result being that any time he was called on to replace Calvillo (on a few occasions due to injury), the game was unwatchable.

If Trestman has worked with him, it is highly unlikely he would want him on his roster. I agree with those saying that Tebow is not an NFL caliber QB. He is built like a tough TE, and certainly has one of the best work ethics in the game. He should consider a position change, but it's my understanding he wants to be a QB. Yes, QBs, like lead singers, seem to get the hottest girls, but since he won't touch one, changing to the bass player (TE) should be a no brainer (no offense to bass players out there)....
