Panthers interview Mike Shula for offensive coordinator

03:50 PM ET 01.17 | The Carolina Panthers reportedly interviewed quarterbacks coach Mike Shula for the offensive coordinator position left open when Rob Chudzinski was hired as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. Shula has been the quarterbacks coach in Carolina for the last two seasons and during Cam Newton's entire tenure with the team.

Just don't hire a West Coast OC like Shurmur. The Cats need the read option and to keep this offense vertical. The safe move is with Shula; the bold move is with Hue Jackson. If Rivera doesn't have at least a 9-7 record in 2013, he's canned. Therefore, this is an important move.
