Marc Trestman gives Chicago Bears reason to believe

05:22 PM ET 01.17 | The Chicago Bears decision to call up Marc Trestman from the CFL to the big leagues captured the attention of the newscycle for what seemed like 10 minutes. Just as announcements on Trestman's staff were starting to come out early Wednesday afternoon, the Bears were one-upped in a big way when, out of nowhere, it was reported that Chip Kelly was suddenly set to leave Oregon to take the Eagles' top job. Kelly had the national media wrapped around his finger until Deadspin's Manti Te'o bombshell smashed everything to pieces. Before the night was over, Luol Deng had hit a game-winning shot for the Bulls and there was a deadly shooting at a marquee high school basketball game in Chicago between Jabari Parker's Simeon squad and Morgan Park.

Lovie was broke down as HC. Couldn't manage a game for his life. Two seasons: things start quite well and then in the toilet. What does Lovie do? Nothing. I have never seen a worse job of halftime adjustments as Lovie's. Good guy, great players coach, very likeable, but not an HC.

I've always liked Lovie, he never was given supporting players, the GM was the issue and New GM doesn't like him? Treat an is shroud operator who's been around, now that we got him, we got to support him, like him or not! I felt the same way when The Giants signed Coughlin, boy was I wrong!
