09:03 PM ET 01.17 | There is a banner on NBA.com that is currently counting down the seconds until the Miami Heat play the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night. However, as soon as that game is over, the banner can go right back up counting down to the Heat-Lakers again, only the NBA will mask it by saying it's the All-Star Game. The NBA All-Star votes are in and while Joakim Noah did pretty well in the voting, his only hope to get on this year's team is by being a reserve. The votes are in and a total of two players that don't play in either Los Angeles, Boston or Miami made the team and one of them plays for New York. Besides Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant, the rest of All-Star teams on both sides are made up of Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, Rajon Rondo, Kevin Garnett, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.

The all-star game is not about who should be selected to the all-star team but whom is perferred to be selected to the all-star selection team. It's a sham, the guys performing the best should be selected but they are not always the glamore players that fans want to see play in the all-star game. So you need star power to get the fans to full the stands, that's why Dwight Howard was chosen over Tim Duncan.

Yao Ming was repeatedly voted in, but I think to a large degree, he did deserve to be in the AS (even if not as a starter) by his sheer skills and numbers.

But putting Lin in the AS game is a joke.
