04:12 PM ET 01.18 | Since the story broke on Wednesday, the defense of Manti Te'o regarding the dead girlfriend hoax he's wrapped up in, was that he, like everyone else, had no idea the woman wasn't real until just recently. Many have begun jabbing holes in that story, but a friend of the man widely reported to have been behind the hoax has come forward saying Ronaiah Tuiasosopo indeed tricked Te'o without the linebacker ever knowing about it. And Te'o isn't the only one this has happened to. The woman wished to not be identified, but said Te'o had nothing to do with the hoax and that Tuiasosopo admitted to duping the Heisman finalist in a tearful confession at his church. Outside The Lines did an investigation into the matter, and in addition to interviewing the woman, they sought out others who claim they've also been tricked by Tuiasosopo. J.R. Vaosa and Celeste Tuioti-Mariner both said their cousin began an online relationship with a woman who turned out to be Tuiasosopo.

Let him come out with his story himself. In full. With evidence to back it up.

Maybe, folks are speculating about the wrong guy... as to batting from both sides of the plate.

Oh, yeah, this is a "football" story.

Who are/is Tuiasosopo's coconspirators? Curious minds want to know!

Tuiasosopo is gay, confess already.

Domers complaining about the "anonymous" ND player saying that Te'o continued playing out the sham along and enjoying the attention yet they are okay with this "anonymous" person that says this Tuiasosopo guy "confessed to her that he did this hoax.

Can you say "double standard" domers??? You say that the player should have the nads to identify himself yet this other person that gives the domers and Te'o some hope can be anonymous without criticism?

NEITHER side has produced ANY "facts" yet. At least none I've seen so far.

So let the entertainment continue until some actual facts are presented.

Then i would sing to all the crazys in the audience,,,,

Fare thee well and adieu to you, ladies of Spain,,
for the captain is restless and our purses are empty,,
But we hope in a short time to see you again"....

I hope this Te'o story doesn't distract from the fact that Notre Dame's "undefeated" season was a complete joke that ended in the most one-sided BCS championship game since 2005, with Notre Dame being the first team to fall 3 spots after their bowl having being ranked #1 at the end of the regular season.

I don't know if it's stupid mormons, stupid islanders, or stupid Irish, but there's enough dumb to go around in this story to almost make Piratey look like a half-wit. J/K, nothing could bring him up to that level.
