LOL. Could be a real asset for team looking for a player to center their 5th line.

I just don't get it. Both Gomez and Redden were absolute **** the last few years. Both get dumped by their respective teams. Redden gets snatched up by the Blues before you can say his name and several teams are fighting over Scott Gomez. Un-effin-believable!

You gotta admit though , if he works out as 4th line Dman , in todays NHL at 800k....good value....IF he works out.

I'd like to see Gomez make it. I think NJ is where he should go. Never should have left in fact.

Since signing an NHL contract, he's never worked out a day in his life, you think he might be inspired to change his ways now? I can buy a lot of pylons for 800k! They don't take up as much space and ... they never complain.

The only coach that knew what made Gomez tick and which buttons to push was Jacques Lemaire. I don't think Lou will manage to coax him out of retirement again to try.

They have more then that in common. Both of their bought out contracts were originally signed by Sather.

The Blues have a chance of going deep so a little insurance and depth on the blue line won't hurt them. Smart move....if he works out :-)

Actually that may be the truth as in 95 teams had to call up players as when a player gets injured there is no recovery time between games and no one ever has more than 2 days off (okay there may be 1 or 2 instances)

Ninety minutes until the Leafs undefeated streak comes to a crashing halt!
