06:39 PM ET 01.19 | Former Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan met with St. Louis Rams on Friday night to talk about their defensive coordinator vacancy, according to EPSN. Ryan was fired in Dallas earlier this January after the Cowboys finished 8-8, well short of expectations. The Rams are looking for a long-term replacement for Gregg Williams, who didn't coach during the 2012 season as a result of his role in the Saints bounty scandal. Williams was suspended for the past season, but was let go by the Rams after the season ended.

Williams will find a job in the CFL.

The Rams have good defensive players and maybe, just maybe Rob will be an asset to the Rams.

I thought this was a done deal.

Fischer wants Rob to get a haircut first.

Perfect, I hope they do, I'm a 49er fan.

Fisher was a DB for Buddy Ryan on the Bears' teams of the mid 80s. So, this is coming full circle.

But, Fisher won't allow Ryan to run his mouth and be a complete ass like he often wants to be.

This could be a good hire for both Fisher and Ryan, this is a tough Division and if they can wiggle their way up, it could be a fun year in the NFC West!

If Fisher can shut him up and make him stop the drama he might just be a decent DC. Maybe the kick in the a** from Jerrah will give him the incentive to work harder and up his game.

Rob Ryan looks like he should be driving a chariot in Rome. A good bath and a shower followed by a haircut and a shave would help also. What a mess Rob is. disgusting. nice image Rob to the kids of America.

Dude he is a product of the 60's he has a beard personal choice. When you get old enough to grow one you can decide.

The defense was not the problem in Dallas. I think Ryan can be of value to them.
