Dwyane Wade, Erik Spoelstra work past 'family moment' spat

08:19 AM ET 01.20 | There are times when Dwyane Wade doesn't even want to look at Heat coach Erik Spoelstra. Does that mean there is a growing divide between the Heat's most beloved player in franchise history and the hard-working coach who has spent his career with the organization? It's actually quite the opposite, according to Wade. Spoelstra and Wade had a well-documented "family moment" during the Heat's six-game road trip. During the fourth game of the trip -- a loss to the Utah Jazz -- Spoelstra kept Wade on the bench while the Heat rallied from a 19-point deficit. After the game, Wade called his absence during the game's final period a coaching decision and later posted a cryptic message on his Twitter account that seemed like passive-aggressive commentary. "The high road ... isn't always high ...," Wade wrote.

Agree ... the Heat have proven that they can turn it on when they want/need to (at least LBJ & DWade have). The playoff are when they really will need DWade ... Spo needs to cozy up to Doc and get some advice on handling old legs (Woody could do the same and more so :)

Yeah but they don't need to prove that they're as good as the LBJ-Cavs, clearly the best regular season team of the 21st century. Better that they save something for the playoffs

Great minds, etc. I am gonna have to get on more ... the other day Frenchie or the Boston homer were complaining about the gang of posters that oppose them. They listed you, M3ET, Doc, Shield and Others. I didn't even make honorable mention. I felt so slighted.

The bench with LeBron played way better in the Utah game than with the rest of the starters. If not for the bench the Heat wouldn't even have come back from 19 down with a chance to win it. Wade was terrible in that game. Spo was right to bench him and Wade needs the rest anyway. If he can't do what's right for the team and care more about his ego then the Heat are going to have an extremely tough time attempting to repeat come playoff time.

My favorite theme is the LTCF-one .... everyone else on here is a moron or tool about basketball especially when they disagree with his unbiased reportage of just the facts, ma'am, just the facts. His only purpose is to enlighten the an-washed masses oddly enough those masses are mostly Knicks/Lakers fans.
