Agreed. The To***to Sun seems to be having difficulty accepting that some things are more important than hockey.

I said last year I see similarities between the Wings and the Devils from a few years ago. You keep losing people and it eventually catches up. They will have a few years that they are a fringe playoff team (might even miss a year) but with Holland will get that team headed in the right direction again in the not to distant future.

it's just as well that he misses the first game.......he wouldn't be playing his best anyway.....takes time to process a father's passing.

Losing Lidstrom and his near 30 minutes a nigh is going to be very hard to replace. He covered for a lot of mistakes by his teammates and now that security blanket is gone.

Which is what happened post lock out for the Devils. Stevens retired once the lockout ended and Niedermeyer left to play with his brother. Can't replace HOF'ers
