08:06 AM ET 01.21 | Courtesy Sunday's 103-88 loss to Detroit, Doc Rivers had enough. Rivers' post-game comments left an unmistakable impression that he has had all he's going to take from this Celtics team that continues to play erratic, inconsistent and underachieving basketball. "I gotta either find the right combination or the right guys, or we're going to get some guys out of here," said a visibly upset Rivers after the Celtics lost their third straight game. "That's the bottom line." ... Said Boston's Kevin Garnett: "I'm pretty sure Doc's upset and frustrated like everybody else here right now. He's mad as me, he thinks in those terms. I'm a player and I have to say, 'what can I do better?' That's where I'm at."

About time, move the guys who dont come to play

Hey Doc, just bench the starters for a game and see what happens?

C'mon Doc... take it easy. The Celts had to play Pistons at the same time Pats played Ravens. It shouldn't be rocket science to know Celts will blow the game cos their minds is on something else. It's just a regular season game - get over it!

Maybe he should have poured a little milk over Drummond's gf before the game....

The smart move is to start rebuilding while your pieces have a little value. The Celtics as configured are not beating Miami or the best team out West. So do what needs to be done long term and start moving guys for picks and cap space.

Yup..but I think Ainge still believes this squad can contend..not sure why he feels this way though

You cant be to upset Doc. The Pistons for whatever reason just keep beating your team. Last four games we have played them we won by an average margin of 15. I cant come close to explaining that but I think you guys just seem to take us lightly. By the way Andre Drummond is the steal of the draft.

Because this team the last two years have played much better in the second half of the season. Problem is the emergence of Indiana and New York means that second have surge better kick in soon cause I dont think they want to play those teams or the Heat in the first round. Heck I dont think they can beat Brooklyn in a seven game serious.

If you guys don't shape up, I'll play younger guys who don't act like goons!

Thats actually a good counter point..hard to argue the results of this tested team over the past few seasons when the playoffs come. I'm just afraid KGs knees wont hold up til May
