08:11 AM ET 01.21 | The early returns aren't all that promising on the South Side. On opening day last season, the White Sox carried a payroll of $96.9 million. Today they stand more than $20 million higher, and all they have to show for it is a 32-year-old who has gotten full-time at-bats once in his career. ... [The] White Sox are staring at a potential transition year. Already gone are one stalwart (catcher A.J. Pierzynski, to the Rangers) and three midseason acquisitions, Kevin Youkilis (New York), Brett Myers (Cleveland) and Francisco Liriano (Pittsburgh, ostensibly). Now comes the part where the White Sox have to win with even lesser personnel than the group that blew a playoff spot in 2012.

Not quite yet. It's funny how the writer of this articles thinks losing Youkilis, Myers and Liriano is bad. Those are not good players.

This could be the best race in baseball this year in the AL Central Division between the Sox, Twinkles, Tribe, and Royals, who will finish second in the division.

People forget the White Sox were in first place for a majority of last season before the Tigers barely passed them by. Let's just wait for the games to be played before we just say who will win the division.

He has been one of the most durable catchers in the league during his tenure. I see him playing the same amount of games. Are his offensive numbers going to be as good as last years? Probably not. However, he is going from one hitter's park to another, but in a much hotter climate.
