Kentucky turning the corner

08:14 AM ET 01.21 | Playing in front of a hostile SEC crowd on the road, Kentucky's young Wildcats managed to hang a 75-54 win on Auburn. The very nature of young teams is inconsistency, so hold off on the parade, but just maybe the University of Kentucky basketball team turned a corner Saturday night at Auburn. ... Just four days earlier, after an escape at home against Tennessee, coach John Calipari said he wasn't sure his team would ever be up 20 points on an opponent. This group, he thought, just isn't going to "whomp" anybody the way most of his recent teams have. It certainly looked that way early against Auburn. After opening the game 2 of 14 from the field, it looked like another night of tough sledding.

Uhh, Aubie is 2-2 in the conf, and 8-9 overall, so a whomping of them isn't something I'd do alot of bragging about. Sorry, Colonel.

Did they use their blinkers while approaching the turn as well as through turning that corner?

Said he was having migraines again this morning. Pretty much a daily occurrence so that's gotta be rough.

If UK is boasting about beating Auburn then that tells you just how far UK has fallen this year. Charles Barkley may have been AT the game, but he wasn't IN the game. Keep in mind that Auburn has also lost to Murray State, Dayton, Rhode Island. and Winthrop (among others).
