It's only one game into the season -- and that was Saturday's 6-0 stinker at St. Louis -- and one week after training camp began, and the Wings have a brimming sick bay. [Jonas Gustavsson] joined the Tender Groins Club already featuring current and former 2013 members in Mikael Samuelsson, Todd Bertuzzi and Jakub Kindl, and at the very least will miss Monday's game. General manager Ken Holland said Tom McCollum is being called up from Grand Rapids to serve as backup to Jimmy Howard. Jan Mursak had his right arm in a sling because of a collar bone injury suffered in the first period Saturday. He's going to have more tests Tuesday.

Early indication of how the Wings' season will go based on tonight's game against the Blue Jackets:
- If the Wings win convincingly, they will finish 5th-8th in the West.
- If they win a close one, they will finish 7th-10th.
- If they lose in OT/SO, they will finish 8th-12th.
- If they lose a close one in regulation, they will finish 9th-13th.
- If they lose convincingly, they will finish 12th-15th.
