08:37 PM ET 01.21 | Jim Nantz is the friendly voice an entire generation has grown up with. Whether it's the NFL, The Masters or March Madness, Jim Nantz is usually there narrating it all for us watching at home. But Nantz has a dark side, a side the media in Cleveland has unleashed, thanks to their criticism of the hiring of V.P. of player personnel Mike Lombardi. Nantz attacked the Cleveland media, calling their criticism of Lombardi "smarmy" and claimed they had "personal vendettas" against against the new V.P. For some reason, Nantz seemed to single out ESPNCleveland reporter Tony Grossi, but his scathing review of the local media was otherwise evenly venemous.

Lombardi was did not like the Browns pick of Weedon, he has yet to address that! Put a guy on TV with a Mic in his hand and instead of bringing us the News he wants to create it. Never once did Curt Gowdy, Pat Summeral or The likes of Chris Shenkal, Marty Glickman, Bob Wolf, Lindsey Nelson, ever get into a persona attack! They might not have agreed, but the other guy was entitled to his opinion!!!! Dats Dat

Truth hurts. Lombardi deserves everything he gets. Lombardi is a buffoon, ignorant, no talent four time losing hack. He has not been working for an NFL team for 5 years for a reason, HE CAN NOT EVALUATE TALENT! His latest and greatest evaluation was on the Browns, when he said we wasted a second round pick on Josh Gordon. He was the one who wanted Lane Kiffin as head coach, he was the one that was banned from Raider practices by the head coach because he publicly criticized the team that he put together, but laid ALL the blame on the HC (Art Shell). I won't even go into the draft picks made by him with his first stint with the Browns. Yeah another good job by the Browns, new owner, same stupid !@$ mistakes. We are headed nowhere with that hack kissing Banners backside!

On the one hand, it is Cleveland and nobody, and I mean nobody, cares. On the other hand, Jim Nance is more pathetic than Cleveland.
