07:58 AM ET 01.22 | Denard Robinson has his mind wide open to possibility. [Robinson ] says he'll be a receiver, or punt returner, or the guy who fills the Gatorade coolers. Whatever it takes to stick in the NFL. It appears receiver could do the trick. The former Wolverines star said Monday after his first workout for the Senior Bowl that he already has spoken with "several" teams, including the Detroit Lions. He didn't disclose any details, other than the Lions, like most teams, want to see him at receiver. "They said they wanna see me catch," Robinson told MLive.com after the practice at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. "That's what they're all telling me, and that's what I want to show people. I know I can catch. I'm a football player. Just got to show it."

I can picture Robinson as a "factor back". Kinda like a Percy Harvin in the NFL.

with Kelly coaching the Eagles he could very well end up a QB....if Kelly keeps vick, drafts Robinson, Smith and another two or three QB's, the eagles might make it all the way through the sea son running the read option! of course the Redskins could probably use a backup who can run that same system they ran this year if they continue to run it they way they do because there is NO way that RGIII makes it a complete season if he continues to take those hits...

Denard was never known for his arm though...

As The Wheel Turns the gears get Greased!!!

He'll probably have to show that he can contribute on ST's as well.

Percy is bigger / thicker than Robinson. Until Robinson puts on 20-25 lbs of muscle he destined to be Ted Ginn with dreds.

IMO D Robinson is the most exciting player to watch in football today. That doesn't make him an NFL superstar although I think he will be adequate as an NFK receiver. But some team(s) will want him if onoy to get fans into the park.

Devin Hester? haha

With the state of their receivers, they should be showing interest in everyone down to my sister.

I would take him as a receiver. BTW, it's 10:50 and Michigan still su<ks.

January 22, 2013  11:19 AM ET

I think he would be an absolutely fabulouso 4th round or later pick. Why? Because the first or second time he gets his head handed to him by a bonecrushing DB and is out for the season, it didn't costs you much is why. I like the kid but do not think he has the body to survive in the NFL.

Did Detroit say which round they were thinking of drafting him? This news is not good for Jahvid Best. Is his career over?

At least Robinson has his mind open to other possibilities (so he says) and isn't fixated on what HE thinks he should be in the NFL.

What do they say about Cleveland, 'Eat your steak by the lake, and hope the breeze is coming in'.

A Solid 7th round pick!

January 22, 2013  01:19 PM ET

This is why they are the Lions.

January 22, 2013  01:23 PM ET

Lets hope he is not as brittle as Harvin
