07:59 AM ET 01.22 | Saints fans don't yet have to worry about offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael taking off for greener pastures -- not yet, anyway. [Carmichael] said a new contract with the Saints is "going to happen" after interviewing for the head coaching job with the Chicago Bears and then saying thanks, but no thanks to interview opportunities for offensive coordinator openings in Philadelphia and Jacksonville. Carmichael's contract is set to expire soon and he said Monday morning at the Senior Bowl that completion of a new contract is still ongoing. But he's certain he's not leaving for another team this offseason. ... "I think it was a unique circumstance this year with just the whole contract thing. This is going to be a tough place to ever leave for me."
