08:03 AM ET 01.22 | On the surface, Super Bowl XXXVII was marred for the Raiders by the weekend disappearance of center Barret Robbins, but Tim Brown has a different take. [Brown] believes that the blame for the 48-21 loss to the Buccaneers should go to Oakland's head coach. "We get our game plan for victory on Monday, and the game plan says we're gonna run the ball," Brown said Saturday on SiriusXM NFL Radio, which provided us with the audio. ... [According to Brown, coach Bill Callahan, on the Friday before the Super Bowl, changed] the game plan from a run-heavy attack to an intent to "throw the ball 60 times." "We all called it sabotage . . . because Callahan and [Tampa Bay coach Jon] Gruden were good friends," Brown said.

Well, at least Callahan's career has been a great success since that mistake.

A thread about a ten-years-ago Superbowl? That's a long time ago even in Roman numerals.

I saw this last week... Dumbest story I've ever heard.

Jerry Rice would be the #1 WR over Tim Brown ANYDAY, ALLDAY.

January 22, 2013  08:10 AM ET

I remember that game, being a Raiders fan. The Tampa Bay defensive players all said they knew exactly what plays were coming because no one changed the offense from when Gruden had been the coach the year before.

January 22, 2013  08:10 AM ET

I'm guessing Tim won't be getting over this anytime soon.

Smart thinking of Callahan to go with the exact same playbook that Gruden left behind.

Oh wait... This guy is actually whining about something else now.

Tim Brown is on some sort of weird mission.

He's still the last Raiders coach to post a winning season.

Man, that is depressing.

I'm sure Callahan intentionally sabotaged his own shot at winning a Superbowl.

Nah, actually I'm gonna go with, "Callahan got out-coached by the guy who built the roster Callahan was playing with."

Wow, some idiot mod chopped my Marilyn avatar? This is Looka's doing 'cause I was talking about his pretty boy QB.

A little late to be dredging this up.

Put up a Giselle avatar and watch him get all conflicted.

hmm,.....does tim think this'll get him into those ~hallowed~H.O.F. walls ?..., timing seems kind of coincidental ?

i heard gannon saying [years later] that coach-chucky knew all the raiders' play-calls and had his tampa-defense all prepared !,...yu'd think callahan would've made ''those'' changes.....?!

{H.O.F.} sports-writers are still figuring the final-7 inductees,......the timing seems strange too...?
