08:06 AM ET 01.22 | Were he trending, Daniel Gibson would be doing so in the wrong direction these days. [Gibson] played a total of five minutes on the Cavaliers' five-game swing through the Western Conference, and there's a feeling around the league that his days in Cleveland are reaching an end. ... An assortment of injuries has caused Gibson to miss 14 of the Cavs' 42 games (he also sat out Monday's practice while sick). Since Gibson has returned, his spot in coach Byron Scott's rotation appears to have been filled by 6-7 waiver wire acquisition Shaun Livingston. That, coupled with an expiring contract, has led to speculation the Cavs could move Gibson to a more suitable situation for both parties come the Feb. 21 trading deadline.

With injuries to guards piling up, there may be takers. But he needs to show something on the floor first.

they tried- had deep conversations with teh Clips and Twolves to name just 2 teams- but without that deadline forcing teams to upgrade their offers its tough
Cavs made a solid trade this morning- adding some solid young bench players and another first round pick for some of their cap space

when healthy and in a rotation, he is a guy that can hit a 3 and play decent perimeter D, def a bench player, but some teams could use an outside shooter and his contract is expiring

Dude had a chance to be a leader here and never stepped up. Such a waste. They won't get anything for him. Should just let the contract expire.

Great 3 point shooter in NBA 2K. In 2K12 I could easily score 10 3 pointers a game with him.
