Rob Ninkovich says Patriots dynasty is dead

02:27 PM ET 01.22 | The New England Patriots are still the best team in NFL history - at least that's what the local media would like you to think. Despite not winning a Super Bowl since Super Bowl XXIX back in 2005 when they beat the Eagles, the New England media has made a habit of still treating the Patriots like they're a dynasty. The dynasty has been over (or at the very least, on hold) for more than six years now, and Rob Ninkovich is sick of the expectation. When he spoke to the media after the Patriots' 28-13 loss in the AFC championship game, Ninkovich told reporters to knock it off and that the dynasty is, and has been, dead. While the Patriots are in the middle of a Super Bowl drought, it really doesn't seem like they dynasty is dead. This is due in large part to the coverage the Patriots get, but has more to do with the quality of the team.

The Pats only need a couple of players to get back in the big game, they need to start spending some money!

Dynasty? Are we still considering the early 2000's Lakers a current dynasty? It's been 9 years since their last parade. 6 years since Bill had his video camera taken away. This is no dynasty. A consistant competitor, but not a dynasty. the Lakers are considered a dynasty due to the total amount of titles they have overall. This is different but I don't consider NE a dynasty. Dey nasty, but not dynasty.

Your both right The Buffalo Bills we're The Last Dynasty in The NFL they played in 4 Super Bowls in a row!

The Patriots haven't won the Super Bowl since Spygate (coincidence?). Their "dynasty" has been dead for years.

Ninkompoop is right. No need to fear them anymore. Mr. Bellicheck please turn in your keys to the executive washroom and you'll be escorted out by security. Please leave the hoodie with the receptionist. Thank you.

Naw. Brady is what, 35 now? He's going to seize up like all aging QBs and taper off. He did not play a "Brady" game on Sunday. Maybe has two-three years. If he gets hit more, less. The key to beating the Patriots has always been to hit 'em hard and unglue them. And that's what the Ravens did. Brady's O-line is aging and he's in for some bad times at Belichick High in the future, especially with speedier, more physical Ds. The Patriots need more than a couple of players.

Reminds me of the Yankee's of 2004-08......hadn't won a championship since 2000, yet their fans would lead you to believe they win it every year.

Good Idea, I'll try to break this down, Since 2000 Best Regular Season Team, The Colts, 11 Playoff Appearances ??2 Super Bowl appearances ??1 Win No Contest! Best Playoff Team wins The Patriots hands Down 5 Super Bowl Appearances! No Contest ! Best winning Percentage in the Super Bowl? Who else My Giants 2-0, if The Ravens win Sunday they Tie The Giants!!! So go ahead and knock your Brains out trying to figure out who the best team is!
My Humble Opinion The Pats 10 Payoff Appearances 5 Super Bowl Appearances 3 Super Bowl Wins! Dats Dat!!! ????
