04:06 PM ET 01.22 | New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton has been reinstated by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, according to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello. The reinstatement ends a season-long suspension for his alleged involvement in the Saints bounty scandal. The suspension was scheduled to run through the 2013 Super Bowl, but it was ended two weeks early courtesy of Goodell.

Maybe he's learned Something? He got a nice Raise!!!

Should have suspended him until 12013.

Goodell has a bigger problem to deal with now. Beyonce did not actually sing the National Anthem at the Inauguration. She lip-synched it. The Commish had better come down on this pretty hard. She should be suspended from performing at any NFL event for a season, and should be fined $50K at least. How are America's youth to grow up honest and brave and strong if we let half-time performers do a half-**** job?

Kind of ironic. The Jaguars and Chiefs have been giving a half-**** effort and playing like Beyonce for years!

City of New Orleans doesn't like Goodell because of Bountygate. Now he reinstates Payton just before the Super Bowl in New Orleans so the fans there don't throw rotten eggs at him. I hope they throw them anyway.

Roger the tyrant!!! No Proof!!!

He probably scheduled the suspension to last until the SB just in case the Saints somehow made it. But since they got the early boot, no reason not to lift the suspension now.

A peace offering before the SB to N'awlins fans.

Goodell blew this from the beginning. It appears Gregg Williams will be the huge loser in Bountygate. Payton is so essential to the Saints returning to the playoffs next season.
