05:50 PM ET 01.22 | The turmoil is growing in Phoenix in the wake of their decision to promote Lindsey Hunter, a 17-year NBA veteran and their player development coordinator, to interim head coach after Alvin Gentry was let go. Assistant coach Dan Majerle, who was the choice of many of the players to take over for Gentry, decided to leave the team after being informed on Sunday that Hunter would be taking over. Elston Turner, Gentry's lead assistant, did not participate in the Suns practices on Sunday or Monday either, but no decision has yet been made as to his future with organization.
