Rose on the comeback trail

05:54 PM ET 01.22 | Derrick Rose is making progress in his return from a torn ACL, and Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said that his point guard could return to full contact practices "very soon." Rose has been playing in practices under controlled conditions, where any contact is what Thibodeau calls "predictable." That said, the team isn't rushing him to return to game situations. Thibodeau would like Rose to spent a good amount of time practicing to show he'll be ready to fully return. "He has to go through that for an extended amount of time," Thibodeau told ESPN Chicago. "That's not going to be OK, one or two days of contact and he's going to be out there, that's not going to happen. Just be patient, everyone has to be patient."
