Jerry Jones strips Jason Garrett of play-calling duties

07:57 PM ET 01.22 | A bizarre offseason in Dallas with uncertainty looming for all staff members has just taken its latest turn. The latest member of the Cowboys organization to lose a lot of power is head coach Jason Garrett. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has stripped Garrett of his play-calling duties. Offensive coordinator/line coach Bill Callahan will now take over the play-calling duties. Last week, Garrett's brother, John, left the Cowboys coaching staff to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It seems increasingly likely that Jones has a plan up his sleeve and that he is setting up for a move that would send Garrett out the door in Dallas with a replacement ready to be named. There is no certainty to those rumors, but the chance that Garrett will be the Cowboys head coach in 2013 appears to be decreasing.

OK, goofy way to do it, but really? Not such a good idea to have the HC call the plays on either side of the ball anyways. He can get his input in their all week, but on game day there is too much going on.
JJ is right on this move, but it is his own mistake he is fixing.
