Luongo deal to mystery team on the table

08:17 AM ET 01.23 | There may yet come a day when Roberto Luongo is moved, but Mike Gillis appears to be in no hurry to get there. The Luongo trade, or nontrade, which has taken on a life of its own with the way [Cory Schneider] started the season (five goals on 14 shots before being pulled Saturday), could happen soon, or in a month, or not at all. "We have a potential deal in place with one team that has to do something with another player that they have -- and it's not who anybody thinks it is -- and so we have to wait. (But) we've been offered packages that don't fit what our plan is, what we need," said Gillis. Like, how? "Excess salary coming back with a (throw-in) player who can't play in our lineup. They say, 'OK, we'll do this, but you've got to take this.'"

I wonder...someone mentioned The Caps yesterday...the Flyers would just be ridiculous if it were them...The only logical choices to me are chicago or Toronto...

I would imagine Vigneault would be sacked immediately following such an occurance.

After watching Philly's first three games, starting to believe the brass there is thinking this over very carefully right now.

Did he leave Fla. "badly"? (like this now)
or was it a mutual thing?

Bam Bam is just about the only thing I might say I like about the Canucks.

Pretty straight forward guy...hard to dislike a guy for being a straight shooter.

Bryz ain't the problem. No defense and very little offense are the main culprits. Bernie Parent in his prime couldn't help this team right now.
