02:48 PM ET 01.23 | The former No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft, who has been called "the greatest bust of all time," is trying to make a comeback. JaMarcus Russell, who was taken No. 1 overall by the Oakland Raiders in the 2007 draft, is working out in an attempt to return to the NFL, according to Kevin Patra of NFL.com. Russell played in parts of three seasons with the Raiders before being cut in 2010.

I wish him luck. I don't think the Raider organization was (or is) any kind of environment to groom a franchise QB (Pryor may be in his shoes in a year or two). Maybe no one will have any use for him, but I'd like to see his talents get a fair shake.
