Is Crawford the Wizards' biggest trade chip?

05:38 PM ET 01.23 | With the league's worst record despite a recent run of success, the Washington Wizards are understandably the kind of team that could be on the lookout for long-term assets before this year's trade deadline. While they don't have any major expiring contracts, often the most commonly traded players during the season, Washington still has some pieces that could help contenders this season. Namely, shooting guard Jordan Crawford, a microwave scorer that's reportedly garnering more interest than any other available player on the Wizards' roster. "More than a few league sources peg Jordan Crawford as the chip that is drawing the most interest in return from the Wizards," HoopsWorld writes. John Wall and Bradley Beal are understandably off-limits as the franchise tries to build its core, but Crawford's scoring ability and cheap contract ($1.19 million salary this season) make him a solid asset.

Lakers can use any combination of guards. How bout a three team trade that sends Crawford and Gallo to Lakers... that will make one happy Mike. I don't know what Denver will demand but it can be done... Lakers can use some young guards... they're just way too old Knicks look like still-birth.

Why move Crawford since he is only a 2nd year player? And what would the Wizards get in return? A low 1st round pick at best?
Trading him doesn't amke sense.

Because he is taking minutes away from Beal and if they trade him they could land another young player of need to fill out their roster. A lot of teams are looking for a good young SG to add to their roster.
