07:56 AM ET 01.24 | Denard Robinson recently said he'd play anywhere if it meant playing in the NFL, but the former Michigan quarterback hasn't helped his draft stock much in Mobile. Robinson's natural explosiveness and all-around athleticism was obvious [Wednesday], but he did little else to impress scouts during [the morning's] practice. His routes weren't crisp and he struggled to get consistent separation out of his breaks. He generally did not display good hands as he fought the ball throughout practice. This was the first day he was allowed to participate in team drills but was a non-factor. [Wednesday] capped off a rough week for Robinson, and he will need to significantly elevate his game on Saturday in order to improve his draft stock.

"Denard Robinson recently said he'd play anywhere if it meant playing in the NFL..." Even Cleveland?

And this is why guys like QB Geno Smith skip the Senior Bowl, they look better on paper than in person.

His last 5 or 6 games says he looks awful in person as well. As far as Robinson goes, kick and punt returning is in his future.

He will have a very limited position in the NFL for only a few yrs.

Roberson should have been a wide out but that pile of trash rich-rod put him a QB.We still have FREEDOM OF SPEECH HERE IN AMERICA RIGHT?Or did I miss some new law.

And we're surprised by this news how?? He's going to be a kick and punt returner and a fourth string WR at best. Poor man's Devin Hester is what he should DREAM of being. (without all the TD returns).

And Hail to the Victors, Love that user pic! I miss Marc's Big Boy something fierce. They had the best breakfasts anywhere!

Not a first round pick, but if he winds up on The Pats anything can happen!

What part of this gets him on any team's draft board to begin with? Kick returner? He's gotta catch the ball before he can start running.

Enjoy that First Amendment while you can. When they're done castrating the Second Amendment that one is next on the chopping block.

A QB changing to Receiver?

I'd be shocked if he was taken before Day 3...

Must have been a thin draft :-)

It is beginning to look like if you want to play QB it will be either in the AFL or CFL, or maybe a special team player in the NFL.

January 24, 2013  07:25 PM ET
