Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul to miss 6 weeks

Over the last 5 seasons he's played in 278 games out of 410..that translates into playing 68% of the potential games...he sure is worth the 5.25 per year EH ;-)

I really don't feel like Leafs bashing, but they hand out inflated contracts and there is no pressure to win. Some players like that combination.
I see a baseball team lose every year with no pressure to win, I offer condolences.

Pirates owners really do enjoy collecting that revenue sharing $$, don't they.

This was flukey. He woulda gotten the money elsewhere, and I do like his play when healthy. He'll miss some games, but I think overall it's worth the money.

More worth it than Grabovski, that's for sure.

definitely. AND private investors kept a building intact...MECCA

I got dragged to two pirate games last year and in both games they couldn't even get guys on base. I'll say this, at least the Leafs WANT to or like the idea of WINNING.

I agree my fellow fanatic! I was a Lupul disliker until he proved he has it. This team is nothing compared to others on paper, but we still have won 2 of the first three games with 2 really unproven net minders, and a plethora of D-men, and a couple of reasonable names up front. Lupul being one of them. Compare that to the Rangers??? Not bad for what Ferggie left us with, and no I don't blame Burke. I thought that was a silly move based more on personality rather than a big picture. Ferggie left a mess, and we are still trying to fix it. Oh and yes I know how many seasons it has been, just my opinion on the guy.
